Yakinori - Solihull

Food tasting was happening outside the restaurant, I was about to decline due to allergies and explained to the staff member was confidently reassured that the kitchen is nut free. I was so relieved to hear someone say that! The staff were fab, they still noted my daughters allergies on the order, even though the kitchen is nut free and cooked on the premises. The only thing that could not be assured was a chocolate cake because that is brought in. We will be returning, the food was amazing. Made better with the relief of knowing that my daughter was safe there.

I popped into Yakinori yesterday as I was spending some time at Touchwood Shopping Centre. The lovely manager and chef took some time to speak to me to explain what allergens they don’t use in their kitchen, who they can cater for, etc. They also have 2 other venues, one is Selly Oak (Birmingham) and Bristol. They explained that their entire menu is nut/peanut free, they have lots of gluten free options (even gluten free soy sauce), and every single item on their menu clearly labels what allergens are used to make the dish (you just need to ask to see details on their iPad). I felt they really cared and it would be such a great option for a family meal, as both my children have food allergies (free nuts and fish). I can’t wait to return soon
