No allergy menu

Asked 3 different members of staff if I could see their allergy menu to help me decide what was safe to eat. They either don’t have an allergy menu or just didn’t want to give it to me, because all of them just told me to tell the waiter about my allergy when I order. I always do that anyway but I still like to see the allergy menu for that extra knowledge and reassurance of what’s in my food. I was disappointed about this as I thought it was a requirement to show customers the allergy menu upon request.
In the end I had beef in black bean sauce, egg fried rice and chicken chowmein - the staff said there were no peanuts in any of these dishes and I was fine. So not the worst experience, I just wish the staff were more willing to help with the menu for that extra bit of reassurance, especially since a lot of their dishes do contain peanuts.
