We went to visit my dad in Ireland and as it was my nephews birthday we went to Tayto Park! It is a great day out with rides and a zoo area! My dad had been before so knew that "the lodge" restaurant had allergy free food. The information is available on the website and you can ask at the reception when you arrive as well. The allergy list is labeled 1 to 14 outside the door of the restaurant and it tells you what foods they sell and what number allergens are in eqch dish. they say to state your allergy when being served as you queue up to be served and take the food to your table. As I was In a wheelchair, I got taken to a table and my sister and dad went to order. My sister then told me that everything was clearly labeled on the boards at the ordering point and there were different serving cutlery to avoid cross contamination of foods. There were a couple of things I was able to have. My dad ordered burger with pepper sauce and chips, and chicken curry rice and chips, to give me a choice, in case I wanted the burger instead! I opted for the chicken curry, rice and chips. The portions were great and it was really tasty. All the chips were allergen free, so everyone could eat them irregardless of any allergy. I was really impressed, as it showed they had thought about everyone's needs.

Look at the board before you queue up as it gives you more time to check everything!

    Venue Top Tips

The lodge restaurant is located at the left side of the park, so plan your rides so you don't have to walk from one end of the park to the other!
