We'd heard about the Coppa Club through other reviews on Allergy Companions so we decided to give it a go.
At first I felt a bit nervous, as when I called the person on the phone kept mentioning the usual "cannot guarantee" even though she explained their really thorough preparation processes for allergies (such a nonsense, places should feel more confident in what they can do for their customers, not put them off with silly disclaimers).
On the day, our server was courteous and understanding, and took our order with confidence. He checked everything with the chef (they also have a comprehensive allergen menu, which declares the actual nuts used in their food, which was primarily almonds) and we felt happy in the way our order was taken.
I ordered a couple of starters to have as my "main" - burrata with caponata, seared prawns and seasonal salad. All were super tasty and fresh, and my son shared the prawns with me.
My husband ordered a garden breakfast, and our children had grilled trout (my son with a nut allergy had this, as my daughter is only allergic to white fish) and a little sourdough Margherita. Both kids mains came with a seasonal salad (leaves and avocado). For dessert, the kids had a fruit platter - this was a generous portion of berries and apple, sprinkled with dried cherries. My son was a huge fan of the latter!
There were a lot of other dishes we would have happily chosen.
The food was beautiful, fresh and healthy. All in all, a fabulous experience!
