Andersons Boathouse Restaurant - Killybegs

We dined in Anderson’s Boathouse Restaurant whilst on holidays in Donegal. This was the most delicious meal I have eaten in years. The food, ambience and service were amazing! It specialises in seafood but there are other options on the menu too. It has a lovely, covered and heated outdoor terrace that overlooks Killybegs Harbour, as well as indoor seating. The host at the restaurant gave us a warm welcome when we told her about my son’s allergies (tree nut and sesame) and reassured us that they could safely cook for him. The waiting staff were very professional, friendly and attentive throughout our meal. They patiently answered all our questions, as well as confirming allergen information with the chefs. Nothing was a problem. My son was very excited to hear that the brownies with ice cream on the menu were nut and sesame free. Eating dessert in a restaurant was a first and he was delighted! I highly recommend this restaurant. We cannot wait to return again this year.
